The men’s soccer team dominated over Naval Academy Prep, 9-0 and picked up their first win of the season. Leading the scorers for Massasoit was Greg Giguere who scored 3 goals and picked up 2 assists while John Barros Varela scored 2 goals and 1 assist. Other scorers included Danilo Batista, Joshua Dacosta, Patrick Oyede, and Elder Barbosa while Candido Barros, Valter Monteiro, John Barros Veiga, Elder Barbosa, and Joshua Dacosta added assists. Joe Pinto earned the shut-out.The men’s record stands at 1-1 after dropping their initial game of the season to Monroe Community College on Sept. 5, 2-0.
On Saturday the men travel to Manchester Community College where they take on the Cougars for a 2:00 game.
